“#NationalSecurityLaw means death to Hong Kong.” – Millionaire Jimmy Lai for Against the Tide TV

He’s been in the crosshairs of the Chinese Communist Party for years. Arrested in April for taking part in the Hong Kong protests back in 2019. He was released on bail but is accused of being an instigator of pro-democratic protests. Last year, he went to the US to meet with Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to discuss the extradition law Beijing wanted to implement against Hongkongers’ will. Today, he sounds the alarm concerning the new national security law, which China wishes to impose on Hong Kong. Jimmy Lai – a multimillionaire, media tycoon and founder of Apple Daily, Hong Kong’s largest newspaper – speaks with editor Eunika Chojecka in an exclusive interview for Against the Tide TV.

First of all, I want to say that we are praying for Hong Kong to be strong and free. And we are covering the situation in Hong Kong thanks to our Taiwan-based correspondentHanna Shen. I want to ask you about your situation. You were arrested in April over protests back in 2019. Why is the Chinese Communist Party so afraid of you and “Apple Daily”?

Well, I think it’s because I’ve been very vocal and you can say that I’m one of the trouble makers, so they’ve focused on me. Also, we have the biggest newspaper or media [in Hong Kong], which is also an opposition media. We’ve always been supporting the democratic movement, especially the recent resistance movement against the extradition law. Now, when the national security law came, we became more vocal against it, and that’s why we became the focus of their attack.

What does the new national security law mean for Hong Kong, Hongkongers, and free media such as “Apple Daily”?

I think that the national security law is the last nail in the coffin for Hong Kong because it supersedes our rule of law and also our legislative council. It’s imposed on us with no respect of the law, of the rule of law in Hong Kong. Without the rule of law, our financial status will be destroyed. Without the protection of the law, nobody can do business here except those who have protection by officials who have power over them. That means that Hong Kong will have to be the same as China, that it will pay protection money to officials to protect us. Besides, without the rule of law, there is no longer any mutual trust in the financial business, [where transactions] of billions of dollars take place in seconds. Without this mutual trust, due to the lack of the rule of law, the financial business here will definitely be destroyed. That’s why Hong Kong, as we know now, will be finished.

In your opinion, will Hong Kong become a second Tibet?

I don’t know if we will become the second Tibet. We may become anything. We may even become Xi Jiang. The whole place could become a concentration camp.

But I don’t think that will happen, because now, the national security law unprecedentedly united all the countries of the Free World against [China]. So, I think we still have hope that [China] will tone down [their stance].

And also, the most powerful refute came from England. The British government is prepared to give nearly 3 million British National Overseas holders, including their families, the British right of abode, which is a great encouragement for our people. If they continue to fight and see that there’s no way that we can win or if they’re totally disappointed by the future of Hong Kong, they can at least go to England. So, if all the professionals, especially the financial professionals and entrepreneurs here, leave Hong Kong to go to England, Hong Kong will be a dead place. Without them, Hong Kong can’t be a financial or trade center anymore. This also fits into the situation in England after Brexit. Many professionals and entrepreneurs that are not English are leaving England. [Those from] Hong Kong can fill in this vacuum. This works for good for both Hong Kong and England. So, I think this is a very good measure the British are offering us.

What are your thoughts on the response of President Donald Trump’s administration to this national security law?

Well, we don’t know yet what kind of measures [they’ll take]. Hong Kong’s special status will definitely be revoked. But whether there will be other sanctions against China, we don’t know. But I think there will be some sanctions. The most important thing is that America is taking the lead in censoring the CCP. We also have support from countries from the Free World, [who are] united against China imposing this national security law on us, which is unprecedented. It’s wonderful. And that’s why we’re not totally desperate. We still have hope that this national security law may be watered down or may be delayed.

And what is your opinion about the European Union’s response to the law? Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU, said that the EU is concerned and will be reaching out to Beijing.

Well, as I said, the Free World is united and on our side. And most importantly, this time, they’re not just voicing out, but they’re also acting out with actual sanctions, which is very important because actions are louder than words.

The problem is that the CCP tries to convince the world that Hongkongers should just make money, then they’ll have a good life and that they shouldn’t think about politics. Isn’t that enough for you?

Well, I don’t think that people can still make money without the rule of law and without the protection of the legal system. If you don’t have the protection of the law in doing business, the only thing you can rely on is the officials to protect you. Otherwise, there’s no way for this free market to function. So, even making money is not possible. And of course, even if we can make money, without the protection of the rule of law and freedom, we have nothing left. What have we got if we don’t have the protection of the rule of law and freedom? We are not animals. We have values; we have spirits. We need freedom to live.

You once said that Hongkongers are fighting for the soul. What did you mean by that?

Our soul is our need for freedom, our need for morals, the values we rely on to live a harmonious life, the mutual respect that we have for each other because we share the same values, the same morals and the same convictions of freedom as protected by the law.

Polish people may wonder why they should pay attention to what’s going on in Hong Kong. I want to ask you, in what way, what the CCP is doing in Hong Kong is important to Poles, Americans, Czechs or, for example, Italians?

Well, Hong Kong shares the same values with the free world, especially with America and the EU, because of the legacy of our past colonial times. So, we naturally became the bridgehead of the Western values inside of China. We are very important because we can spread our values in China to change the people’s values, to change the CCP’s behavior in dealing with the outside world. That means that we can help with world peace.  China is definitely going to be the biggest economy in the future. If we allow China to deal with the world according to the old values, the world will not have peace. And since we share the same values, we are almost like [West] Berlin in the Cold War with the Soviet Union. If Hong Kong falls, so will Taiwan, so will the American hegemony in Asia. So, we mean a lot to the Western world, especially to America. By protecting us, you protect the values that we uphold, which are the Western values.

How could the Polish government and the Polish people help Hong Kong?

Well, I think you can join the EU and together, do something to support us. We need all the help [we can get].

We will do that. Our media is passing on this information from you to our government, and we are praying for you. Please pass this message to Hongkongers that you are an example to the Free World of bravery and perseverance in the fight for freedom.

Thank you.

When we, as evangelical Christians, heard you signing Sing Hallelujah to the Lord during protests, we realized that Chinese communists can’t take your liberty away because you have it in your hearts.

Yes, we have the Lord in our hearts. If the Polish people support us, the [Polish] government will support us [as well]. In a democracy, the people’s wishes become the politics of the government. And we wish that all of this will become a reality.

And please pass on our best wishes to Hongkongers. And I’ll quote the Bible: where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17).

Thank you. Keep us in your prayers.

We will. God bless you. God bless Hong Kong, Taiwan and God bless Poland.

A test for Polish President Andrzej Duda on Free Hong Kong

Dear Mr. President,

We are delighted that, by representing Poland, you are deepening bilateral allied relations with the United States, leader of the coalition of the Free World countries.

We also hope that Poland will decidedly side with the United States in the conflict between the states of Western civilization and the Evil Empire, the current leader of which is communist China. Chinese communists are trying to make other countries dependent and colonize them through economic initiatives, the so-called New Silk Road, and the construction of the 5G network by Huawei.

In recent weeks, China has broken subsequent international agreements and abolished the autonomous status of Hong Kong. This means an even greater threat of torture and death for thousands of young Hongkongers who do not agree with the communist occupation of their homeland.

Poles, due to their history and civilization affiliation, show solidarity with nations fighting for their freedom, especially those fighting against communism.

The National Security Act, which was just imposed on Hong Kong by Beijing, means that anyone – regardless of their nationality or location, and therefore also a citizen of the Republic of Poland – may be considered a person guilty of having violated this law. Therefore, if a Polish citizen who criticizes the Chinese government’s policy falls under Chinese jurisdiction, even while transiting, he may be arrested by the Chinese services.

Therefore, we urge you to take an official stance on behalf of Poles condemning the aggression of Chinese communists on Free Hong Kong. As a nation that contributed greatly to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the communism of Moscow, today we cannot shirk the solidarity and support of other nations who fight the same enemy.

We pray that you will find in God, the strength and wisdom to take appropriate action.

Regards,

ELMER YUEN: HUAWEI HAS VATICAN’S “DIRTY PICTURES”. CHINA BLACKMAILING THE POPE

“This pope is a communist. The whole Vatican server, the internal communication, is installed by [the Chinese company] Huawei. They control the Vatican. They spend 2 billion dollars a year to bribe the Vatican people. […] That’s the secret agreement between the Vatican and the CCP. So that China makes a list of candidates of bishops or cardinals, and the pope only has the right to pick from that list. […] And also, since the CCP, through Huawei, controls the Vatican server, they know all the communications between priests. That’s why they have all those dirty pictures. As you know, we all know the problem.” – Elmer Yuen, a Hong Kong businessman who supports the pro-democratic protests in Hong Kong, in an interview for Against the Tide TV. Interview conducted by Eunika Chojecka.

Yuen, an Anglican, asserted that he is not against Catholics: “I am not against Catholics. But it’s the communist influence on the Vatican. They infiltrated the Vatican. Do you understand what I mean? Have you ever heard in history about a pope who had to resign? Never in history! You know what I mean.” – said the Hong Kong businessman.

Full written interview here.

“This pope is a communist. The whole Vatican server, the internal communication, is installed by [the Chinese company] Huawei. They control the Vatican. They spend 2 billion dollars a year to bribe the Vatican people. That’s the secret agreement between the Vatican and the CCP. China makes a list of bishops or cardinals candidates, and the pope only has the right to pick from that list. Do you know how serious that is? This kind of agreement; why secret? Because pope Francis knows they cannot expose it otherwise, the Catholics will be very angry with him.” – explained Elmer Yuen.

“And also, since the CCP, through Huawei, controls the Vatican server, they know all the communications between priests. That’s why they have all those dirty pictures. As you know, we all know the problem…” – he added.

When asked why, in his opinion, the Vatican and Pope Francis cooperate with communist China, Yuen responded: “Money, money, money. The Vatican has so many old guards. Those people are all paid off by 2 billion dollars a year. They bribe the Vatican people. It’s an open secret. You can look at the Bannon stuff [Steve Bannon – former Trump adviser and currently the host of the radio show War Room Pandemic]. There’s plenty of evidence. And everybody know it.”

Pastor Paweł Chojecki, editor-in-chief of Against the Tide TV, commented on the situation: “Since there are fewer and fewer Catholics and flow of income in the Catholic Church, this sum compensates for reputational damage, e.g. related to the pedophilia scandals.”

Yuen said that Pope Francis “never spoke one word sympathizing with Hong Kong. Never! Not one word. It’s very easy. Whoever sympathizes with Hong Kong, you can check, is not a communist. Whoever doesn’t speak a word about Hong Kong or this national security law, is being paid by the CCP.”

The Hong Kong businessman also added that “Pope Francis is going to visit Beijing soon.”

Pastor Chojecki commented on Yuen’s words: “Pope Francis intentionally omits to speak about Hong Kong. Communists have leverage over the pope and the Vatican. It’s not just about Francis’s favor towards communists – he once confessed in an interview that as a young priest, he met a young communist woman in Argentina who taught him how to understand the world, have a soft spot for communism, love communist China. To this day, he mentions that his contact with this Argentinian communist shaped his worldview. When accused of being a communist, he replies They say I’m a communist, but after all, the first Christians were communists Francis draws upon communist propaganda, which tries to portray Christianity as a prototype of communism.”

He added: “Besides bribes, there’s another factor. If the Vatican were to get into the communists’ black books, all of those dirty pictures of the Catholic Church’s hierarchs would come out. Furthermore, Fr. Isakowicz-Zaleski revealed that he has evidence of dirty deeds of the so-called Lavender Mafia. It turns out that the Lavender Mafia was communist China’s tool in the Vatican. Those clerics, under the pressure of Chinese communists, caused the conservative Pope Benedict XVI to abdicate.”

Elmer Yuen recently met with many members of Congress in Washington, explaining how important the Free World’s fight for a democratic Hong Kong is. While on Against the Tide TV, he also encouraged Poles to help Hong Kong.

Against the Tide TV’s editor-in-chief gaged the possible effects of the China-Vatican relations: “Chinese communists will build concentration camps for us, or we’ll be chipped puppets in the hands of the Chinese (electronic control outside the camps), or those who won’t agree to the Chinese tools for control (probably by the means of Huawei) will be sent to concentration camps. That’s the Sino-Vatican plan for the world today.”

EXCLUSIVE: “Real reason for #NationalSecurityLaw, to steal HK’s 400 billion USD reserves” – Elmer Yuen

The real motive for passing this Hong Kong #NationalSecurityLaw is that they want to steal Hong Kong’s 400 billion US dollars reserves. They have run out of money. […] If Biden gets elected, it will be hopeless for Hong Kong, Taiwan and the free world, this would mean that the PRC won against the free world and that it’s over, game over.

Highlights:

  • Over 90% of Americans want revenge from the PRC for Covid19 – behind every dead person there is a lawyer demanding accountability. They are mad as hell.Every congress member I met in the USA was very anti-CCP.
  • COVID19 is murder, China hid the evidence, West is looking for more evidence to avoid starting a war against China. 130,000 people died and you don’t declare war?
  • Pope Francis is a communist, 2 billion dollars/year bribe for Vatican, CCP handpick list of potential bishops and cardinals x Vatican’s internal communication server owned by Huawei controlled by CCP have access to compromising pictures
  • Forget doing business with China they are broke – rich Chinese families stole all the money and invested it outside of China
  • TAIWAN: Get diplomatic relationship with USA, recognized as an independent country and purchase nukes immediately, don’t wait for elections.

In his first and exclusive interview for Polish media, Elmer Yuen an influential Hong Kong Businessman reveals the true motives of the CCP for passing the #NationalSecurityLaw in Hong Kong, the #CCPVirus pandemic, Chinese influence in the Vatican and much more. His goal is simple. To destroy the CCP and outlaw them… FOREVER.

Full written interview below:

Eunika Chojecka: Hello, this is Against the Tide TV from Poland. I’m Eunika Chojecka and, with me, is Mr. Elmer Yuen, a Hong Kong entrepreneur. He supports Hong Kong’s pro-democratic protests. It’s an honor to have you on our TV.

Elmer Yuen: Thank you, thank you very much for inviting me.

EC: Firstly, I need to say that we really appreciate what you’re doing in Hong Kong and it’s incredible.

EY: I appreciate your support. Even though we are so far apart, we share the same spirit.

EC: Of course, today we’re going to talk about the current situation in Hong Kong and about the new national security law, which was forced by Communist China in Hong Kong. But my first question is more general: how has Hong Kong changed in the last 23 years since the People’s Republic of China took over Hong Kong, Mr. Yuen?

EY: The biggest regret we both have is that Americans allowed the communists to continue to rule China after the Tiananmen Square incident in 1989, which is about the same time as your regain of independence from the communists. So, that was the beginning of trouble. In fact, the Sino-British Joint Declaration was negotiated since the mid-’80s, but then they had the Tiananmen Square, which basically exposed the communist way of suppression. They did it in Poland, Hungary and Czechoslovakia. But then, it was too late, because the British had already agreed to return Hong Kong to the Chinese, to the Communist Chinese. So, in 1997 was the handover. In the first five years, they behaved, the communists behaved. Mr. Jian Zemin, the Party’s Secretary of the CCP, said I put the joint declaration book and the basic law which is the result of the joint declaration, he said I put it in my pocket that little book.

But then, after 2003, they tried to start forcing Hong Kong to legislate the security law, something like what they just passed. So, Hong Kong was up in arms. Hong Kong, at that time, had about 7 million people, and 500 000 people took to the streets. And suddenly, the communists realized they don’t control Hong Kong. And as you know, the spirit of communists is to control everything, including your talking, your belief, your spirit and your religion. They want to control everything. So, when they see half a million Hong Kong people on the street, they say, wow, Hong Kong is out of controlWe need to impose our system of control. So from 2003 onwards, they have been infiltrating the whole Hong Kong system, starting with the police, the administration, the business, everything, they just sent in their own people. So right now, we have 7.5 million people. Roughly, about 2 million people came from China after 1997, and those people are all loyal to the CCP.

So, in the basic law of the Joint Declaration, they promised us direct elections, free and direct elections, both for our legislative body and our chief executive. We used to call him ‘governor’ in the British state. Chief executive is the highest executive power in Hong Kong, government executive. But then, they thought this is going to be trouble because they’re going to lose control. So, they reacted, and they said oh, we’re going to do this seven years later.

So then, by 2014, suddenly they said one country, two systems, no, one country is more important. We need to respect one country, and the two systems is secondary. So then, they said we have no plan for direct elections, for both direct elections. So, of course, Hong Kong people were very, very disappointed. We had the movement of ‘Occupy Central’. Basically, we occupied the central district, which is the business district of Hong Kong, for several months. We didn’t get anywhere. They didn’t get to do anything, because we had no arm, we had nothing. We just have a freedom-loving country; we have the international press. And then, by last year, they initiated an extradition law in Hong Kong, which means they can extract anybody to China and have the trial in China instead of Hong Kong. All they have to do is to notify the Hong Kong court. They don’t need to go through any Hong Kong trial. Of course, people were up in arms because they could catch anybody, kidnap anybody, and send them over the border legally to stand trial. They’ve been doing that anyway, but not that many, and mostly on their own people to corrupted officials who stole money and then caught them and then, they took them back and forced them to cough up the money.

So, last year, we stood up against them. I’m sure you saw them on TV. Our young people actually used umbrellas as their violence, and the police, of course, used everything. They have all the riot gears to suppress the people. And almost 9 000 kids were arrested, and lots of kids were tortured. Girls were attacked and raped. And many murders. We never know how many there are. The communists are very good, as you have experienced, in destroying evidence. And we don’t know, thousands of kids have been sent to China, across the border to camps. We never have any evidence. This is what they’re good at. So, in thousands, in thousands. Finally, with the pandemic around the world, they know the world is busy with the pandemic, so they start again with this national security law. While everyone is busy with pneumonia, with the Wuhan virus, they try to pass this law. This is a draconian law. They can send in their own police, their own prosecutors and their own judges. Of course, they hide it. They say it’s recommended by the Hong Kong government, but then the Hong Kong government has full control. We know that by the time this law was passed on June 30, we knew by then that it’s all over. Our freedom, every kind of freedom is over. They can do whatever they want.

EC: Could you tell our Polish viewers, what this new national security law really means for Hong Kong, in practice?

EY: This is a law not passed by the Hong Kong legislation. It’s passed by Beijing. They didn’t even let anybody see the details until June 30 when they published in the Hong Kong Gazette, the government’s paper. The law basically says they have the right to overrule all Hong Kong laws. They can send their own policemen. They are not accountable to the Hong Kong government, and we have no right to stop them; our police have no right to stop them. They can do anything, freely with no interference by the Hong Kong government. Basically, it means one country, one system, and we have an appearance of our own law. It’s very much the same, maybe what your country experienced with the Soviet Union. They can come in and do whatever they want. It’s very similar to our situation. That’s why I was very sympathetic when you guys were successful with Gdansk, and we feel the same way, very happy for you.

EC: You said in one of your interviews about the rape of Hong Kong. Could you explain to our viewers what you meant?

EY: The police last year, there were about 5 000 military police from China that came to Hong Kong. They were dressed in Hong Kong police uniforms. But their dialect and their behavior are very different from Hong Kong because the Hong Kong police basically are very, very well trained under the British system, very, very civil. And they never act violently. Even when they arrest you, they are forceful but polite. But then, of course, in China, all those policemen are used to bullying people with whatever they want. I mean, they are the law. There is no law in China. So, they came in, and many girls were raped. Unfortunately, the raped ones, some were murdered. After they rape a girl, they murder her and dump her in the sea, you know, Hong Kong is an island. And many missing and some were even thrown from buildings as suicide.

So, those who survived, not many, but we can only interview a few. One of the girls was willing to expose her face, but the others were hiding. It was tragic.  Before I left Hong Kong 3 weeks ago, I was able to persuade this girl, Sonia, the one who showed herself in the video, to find the other girls and these girls were sexually attacked. Of course, it’s the real people; it’s the real narrative, the real story, and they did not exaggerate in any form. Some of the people may exaggerate because they hate the police, but we told them please, just tell the truth, the world will believe—especially women. So, we made this video to let the world understand what the CCP really are.

China, of course, has some money. They made a lot of money exporting goods. They bought all the major media newspapers. Let’s say in the United States: CNN, CNBC, Washington Post, New Yourk Times, Bloomberg, you name it. They would never speak badly of the communist Chinese because they are all paid. China made a huge amount of money. In total, China made 20 trillion dollars in US dollars. Then, they spend half of it opn buying oil and raw material and everything. The other half, the big families, the mafia families in China, they were able to steal that money and invest overseas. That’s why in the major cities, all the nicest buildings are all owned by the Chinese, by mainland China. But then, some of the money, they’ve been spending huge amounts of money to bribe everybody: government officials. In your country, it’s the same. Whoever can make decisions… They want to do your 5G, and 5G means basically your whole country will be under their surveillance. If you use their 5G network because your mobile phone has to go through the base station. If they control the base station, everything that you do, they know you better than you know yourself. This is why America is advising everybody not to use the 5G (providers and suppliers from China).

But anyway, those are the facts now and I think we have a huge problem—the Vatican. You know, I remember the Polish pope was very nice, it was John Paul II. And now this pope! This pope is a communist. The whole Vatican server, the internal communication, is installed by Huawei. They control the Vatican. They spend 2 billion dollars a year to bribe the Vatican people. You guys are very good Catholics. But basically, the CCP controls God’s mouth through the Vatican. That’s how bad it is. That’s the secret agreement between the Vatican and the CCP. So that China can make a list of candidates for bishops or cardinals and the pope only has the right to pick from that list. Do you know how serious that is? This kind of agreement, why secret? Because pope Francis knew they cannot expose otherwise, the Catholics will be very angry with him. And also, since they control the Vatican server, the CCP, through Huawei controls the Vatican server, they know all the communications between priests. That’s why they have all those dirty pictures. As you know, we all know the problem. Maybe it’s too sensitive.

EC: No, no, we talk about this matter because evangelical Christians run our TV. We are not Catholics.

EY: I’m not against Catholics. I am not against Catholics. But it’s the communist influence on the Vatican. They infiltrated the Vatican. Do you understand what I mean? Have you heard in history about a pope that had to resign? Never in history! You know what I mean.

EC: Why is the Vatican cooperating with Communist China? Why is Pope Francis cooperating with them?

EY: Money, money, money. The Vatican has so many old guards. Those people are all paid off by 2 billion dollars a year, they bribe, US dollars. They bribe the Vatican people. It’s an open secret. You can look at the Bannon stuff. There’s plenty of evidence. And everybody knew. And now, Pope Francis is going to visit Beijing soon, and he never spoke one word sympathizing with Hong Kong. Never! Not one word. Then you know. It’s very easy. Whoever sympathizes with Hong Kong, you can check, are not communists. Whoever doesn’t speak a word about Hong Kong or this national security law, are all being paid by the CCP. That’s why you look at CNN, BBC and Bloomberg, New York Times, Washington Post, not a word. No sympathy at all. Not like you.

EC: Thank you for those words because our television has reported on that, on the bad situation in the Vatican and about pope Francis who’s cooperating with communist China. We have our correspondent in Taiwan Hanna Shen, and she also translated this information about, for example this 2 billion dollars (bribery money to the Vatican), to Polish viewers. So thank you for those words. Let’s move to Washington because you’ve been there. And you probably met many politicians there. What is the attitude of US political establishments towards Communist China?

EY: I have been dealing mainly with the congress because my mission is to ask the congress to use new laws or old laws to name the CCP as a criminal organization and its 90 million members as criminals. You come from communism. You know how bad those people are, how they torture people, year after year. And so, I met many congress members. Every one of them is very, very angry because their voters are angry. Last Thursday, I met two New Jersey congress members. They said that 13 thousand of their people from New Jersey have died from the virus. 13 000. Including their families, at least 50 thousand people are affected, and they are angry as hell. They want revenge. They want accountability. There is a lawyer standing behind every dead person that wants accountability and compensation. Every congress member in the United States was very anti-CCP. That’s why the law passed on Friday through both congresses and the senate, totally unanimous, not a single vote against. This is the spirit. They’re looking at more than 20 or 30 bills going through the congress waiting to pass against the CCP or China because they are after them.

The one I proposed had a lot of reception, very good reception because I want to destroy the Chinese Communist Party once and for all. Make it an illegal organization.  All their members would be sanctioned, and they cannot travel because the US has the support of the European Union, British, Japan and South Korea and the rest of the free world. Those people who would be sanctioned could only travel to maybe some African countries, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, and so on. I can put it simply: the American population, over 90% want revenge. As you know, the election is in November. Both the presidential election and the congressional election, their main subject is how do you force China to be accountable. And the White House, as you know, has a problem. There are folks who want to decouple with China because they know that if you continue to do business, they can come with another round of something. But there are also people in the White House, and in the family, you know what I mean, they’re very pro-China. They say Oh, China is such a big market. Our economy needs China to recover. That’s the kind of excuse. And they have no idea. If China can attack once with a virus, they can attack again.

Then they start saying there’s no evidence, there’s no evidence that the Chinese spread the virus. In fact, the Chinese told their own people that the virus came from the United States. And I told the Americans, this is what I told the Americans when somebody reports a crime, or if somebody has died, and if someone refused to let you go to the crime scene and destroyed all the evidence, that’s basically breaking the law. They should be arrested. Any common murder even one person, if they destroy the evidence and refuse to let the police in to inspect the crime scene, they would be arrested! They would already be guilty!

Then the Americans say I want to see a smoking gun. They would never see a smoking gun. These people are totally irresponsible for protecting their own people. 130 000 people have died, and this is not evidence? And they have the WHO just announce that the CCP has failed to inform the WHO on time about the virus in China. They delayed all together for 2 months. They knew about it back in November, and they didn’t inform the world until January. Millions of people left Wuhan, and hundreds of thousands of people went all over the world to spread the virus. I don’t care if it was intentional or not, but the hiding of the evidence, the destruction of the evidence, the delay in closing down the city, the delay in reporting to the WHO and giving the wrong sequence to the Americans about the virus. This is murder, maybe not the first degree, but this is murder. And they are still looking for evidence because they would hate to start a war against China. They know that people are so worried. Nobody wants war, neither do I. But after 130 000 people died, you don’t declare war? You’re afraid to decouple with China? That’s too much. I say this in front of every American official, every congressman, because I don’t lie. I only tell the truth. And I don’t need their help. My business doesn’t depend on any American or Chinese.

EC: That is why our TV together with our Taiwanese correspondent Hanna Shen created a petition on the White House website for making Communist China accountable for spreading the virus all over the world and we gained the 100 000 signatures needed and now we’re waiting for an official response from the White House and President Trump. And thank you for these words, because what you’re saying is very, very important for the US, for Hong Kong and for the free world, in your opinion. Sir, do you think that Donald Trump’s administration really challenged communist China?

EY: He wanted to, but as you know, there are many, many influences inside the White House. Wall Street has tremendous influence. Hollywood. Corporatists. Media. There’s tremendous influence. And this pandemic has basically destroyed Donald Trump’s legacy. The economy was doing very well just before the pandemic. It was never so good. And then his legacy got destroyed by this virus. And this is China. Intentionally or not intentionally, China basically won the first round against the United States. Intentionally or not – that is not the issue. The reality, the result is what counts. Now the second round, you see all that trouble with the riots, the looting, they have in the US. They have the evidence. It’s China standing behind it. The third round will be the election. If Donald Trump loses the elections, if the Republicans lose the election, the US will lose the third round. The rest of the world can only stand aside and watch. That’s the tragedy we’re facing. Lots of people still want to go back to China and sell to that market. Those are dreamers.

And the other thing – I heard your country also has certain politicians that want to do business with China. Let me tell you; China now is not the same as China from five years ago. They had a lot of money. All of that money is now stolen by rich families. Money means US dollars. RMB, nobody wants. It’s the US dollar. They were stolen. Remember, I was talking about 10 trillion. Most of it has been stolen by the rich family and invested outside, either in funds or in beautiful apartments and houses. China has no more money. What they claim to have are already secured for other purposes. They say that they have less than 200 billion in cash flow that they can use. The other money they have is already secured as obligations for other activities, different banks and so on and so forth. So, forget doing business with China. Forget about them financing you. They have run out of US dollars. Unless you are willing to accept RMB, then it’s okay. But if you want any help that comes in US dollars, they don’t have. It’s dried up.

And let me tell you, the real reason for passing this Hong Kong national security law – they want the Hong Kong US dollar reserve. We have 400 billion US dollars as the Hong Kong reserve. And they want to have control over that money. They have run out of money. They want to steal from our reserve. That is the real motive behind the national security law. You are fortunate. You will be the first media to report this, and you watch my word. You can see that. They will steal all the money from Hong Kong. They want Hong Kong people to leave, so all the countries are taking Hong Kong people. And they want to put in their own 7 million people. They want to run Hong Kong. But that’s not the reason. The most important reason is money. Always follow the money.

EC: These are very important words. Let’s go back to what you said about Polish people and Poland. You have lived and done business in China, and as we talked, in Poland, we’re often told by politicians or journalists that China is a capitalist country and that there is no communism there. What is your take on that?

EY: Let me educate your viewers. The CCP is the best in deception. They are the masters of deception. Countries like yours or America, even a hundred years later, would not understand how deceptive they are. Let me give you an example, which is very important. China is not a nation. It’s only a façade. The nation is a façade. The constitution is a façade; nobody respects it. There is no election. Behind every government official, there’s a party secretary, like in the old days of communism, you probably had the same in Poland. And behind every business, there’s a party secretary at the very top. The whole country is controlled by the Party.

And who controls the Party? Several very, very powerful families. Like the past president Jiang Zemin. There are about 30 – 40 families, 50 families. These families are – did you watch the Godfather, about the New York crime families? There were five families – well, China has about 50 families. The families control the Party and the Party controls the whole country. They have 90 million gangsters, like in those movies in Chicago, the Al Capone movies. Those are gangsters with guns. Those are the Communist Party members. They may not be holding guns, but they follow the orders. And under them, 1.4 billion basically slaves.

Remember your country, under the communist system? People were slaves, no different. You can ask your parents. Everybody in Eastern Europe under USSR control was basically slaves. But the party members, they were the gangsters. So, there is no country. There is no government. There is no nation. It is a huge land of a crime family, mafias. This is what it’s all about. They talk about nations, no. The embassy, for example, in Warsaw, do you think it’s controlled by the ministry of foreign affairs? No. Party. They have a Party secretary who is higher than the ambassador. Lucky that you guys have experienced communism, so you know what I really mean.

And Americans, even today, still don’t understand. They think they are dealing with a country, which is just a façade. And this is the problem. It was okay in the old days because there was an iron wall, an iron curtain. The two systems were separated, so America could not be hurt. But then, in the last 20-30 years, China and the US merged into one economy almost, global economy. They cannot protect themselves anymore. That’s how serious this is.

And again, they are merging into your Polish economy. They’ll say we’ll do this for you; we’ll do that for youwe will build a high-speed railway, basically, they integrate and then you will owe them money. And finally, they’ll control you. They don’t need to control the whole country; once they have your communication, they’ll control a few key persons. And those key persons will change your policy towards China, and you will be slaves to them instead of the USSR. You’ll be slaves to the People’s Republic of China, without knowing. And the Russians are not very skillful in controlling their people, but the Communist Chinese are very, very skillful. You don’t even know how they control Pakistan, how they control the people they fund, the African countries. They are far more skillful and deceptive than the Russians.

EC: This is why we are also promoting General Robert Spalding’s book, a former Trump advisor, Stealth War. We do recommend it to our viewers. When you say that the US should cut-off the US dollars in and out of Hong Kong, some experts say it will only hurt the average Hongkongers. How do you reply to that?

EY: The freedom-lovers in Hong Kong are willing to pay the price for freedom, the rule of law and democracy. We had freedom; we had the rule of law under the British. We didn’t have democracy, because Beijing told England don’t give Hong Kong democracy, we are against it. When the British let go of their colonies, every colony had free elections, Singapore, every country that left the British empire. The colonies had free elections. But the communists warned against it, and then the British gave in to the communists. Suddenly, we realized they handed it over to Communist China. In the first few years, it was okay, and then they started reenacting their own law and their own promise. Now we understand that if we don’t pay the price, we will never get our freedom, the rule of law and democracy. So, we are willing to pay. If we fight, if the US cuts off the US dollar transactions, the stock market maybe will become half, the Hong Kong dollar maybe will become half of its value. This is the price to pay. Somebody has to pay for it. Freedom is not free. So, that’s why I say that we’re ready. We’re ready.

EC: We were talking about the American elections, the upcoming elections. What will happen, in your opinion, to Hong Kong or Taiwan, if Joe Biden wins the upcoming election in the US?

EY: I will say a few words about that one. If the free world loses Hong Kong, Taiwan will be next. I’m warning the Taiwan people and President Tsai, that you should immediately within this year have a diplomatic relationship with America, and you should be recognized as an independent country, immediately, not wait until the elections. You must purchase nuclear weapons from the United States because not every president is like Donald Trump to protect Taiwan. So, you need to defend yourself against the CCP from the mainland. This is my warning to them. I had many interviews from Taiwan media, and I warned them. I’m not a warmonger, but you need to protect yourself. The reason we are being bullied now in Hong Kong is because we have no arms, we are helpless.

EC: And what do you think about Joe Biden? If he wins the elections, what do you think will happen with Taiwan and Hong Kong?

EY: Biden is bad news. Health-wise, I don’t even think he’s healthy first of all. So, I don’t understand why the democrats put him up as a candidate. It’s the biggest joke. Secondly, while he was Vice-President under Obama, he was in charge of the relationship with China. He was directly in charge. And he let go. He let the Chinese build military installations in the South-China sea; he let the PRC basically get away with murder. His family – brother and son – have been making huge amounts of money from China and of course you know better also from Ukraine. And so, it’s a very corrupted family. Verbally, he’s saying oh I’m anti-communist too. That’s what he says, but we can say anything. So, it would be hopeless. If he gets elected, it will be hopeless for Hong Kong, hopeless for Taiwan and hopeless for the free world, because that would mean that the PRC would have won against the free world and that it’s over, game over.

EC: We were talking about the US, and what about the rest of the free world? How can this world help Hongkongers? What should, for example, the European Union do?

EY: Forget about them, forget about them. I think that NATO is good. NATO understands safety. You guys all suffered under communism. NATO understands they have to be together. I think Taiwan should join NATO, Japan, South Korea, should all join NATO. We must defend ourselves. Even with a different president, at least the military should join together and hopefully; we’ll elect some better leaders, not someone like Angela Merkel, what a disappointment.

EC: What do you think the average Pole could do to support Hong Kong? What should our viewers do to support you now?

EY: I appreciate your spiritual support, and we may go to the world court. The people of Hong Kong may go to world court because since the Chinese broke the Joint Declaration, the sovereignty of Hong Kong should be reverted back to the British. And the British should give it back to the people of Hong Kong before 1997, and that way we will go to the world court. We will fight for our rights. When the communists crumble, when the communist regime crumbles, we will have some kind of self-determination, a referendum on what to do for ourselves. We can join this or join that, but that’s up to the people of Hong Kong. So, we would like your Polish government and your people to support our action in the world court and in the court of public opinion, that’s very important what you’re doing.

EC: We are praying for you, personally and for Hong Kong, especially for Hong Kong kids and students who are fighting for freedom. Thank you so much for being with us.

EY: Thank you. I am a Christian too. I’m an Anglican from the church in England, so I believe in God too, thank you. And one more thing, the biggest weakness of the CCP is because they are atheists. That is our biggest weapon: God.

EC: We say almost every day, in our TV with our Against the Tide editor-in-chief Pastor Paweł Chojecki, who says that this is the worst thing that the CCP are atheists and that they fight with God.

EY: That is their biggest weakness. That is their biggest weakness. Thank you for this interview.

EC: Thank you so much. God bless you, and we will be strong in God and thank you so much for your letter to President Trump that you recorded with Jimmy Lai. We interviewed Jimmy Lai also, and we translated your letter in Polish as the only Polish television. Thank you so much. It was Elmer Yuan, a Hong Kong entrepreneur who supports Hong Kong’s pro-democratic protests. It was Against the Tide TV, Eunika Chojecka. See you soon.

EY: Goodbye, Polish friends.

AGAINST THE TIDE TV NEWSLETTER – JUNE 2020

MEGACHURCH NEWSLETTER – JUNE 2020

In June, the 6th Conference of the Against the Tide Chapters, titled “FREEDOM vs. COMMUNISM,” took place in two parts.

The first part included lectures by international speakers involved in the fight against the expansion of Chinese communism. Our Conference was attended by:

  • Gen. Robert Spalding, former adviser to President Donald Trump;
  • Solomon Yue, vice chairman and CEO of Republicans Overseas;
  • Hanna Shen, correspondent of Against the Tide TV in Taiwan;
  • Ondřej Kolář, mayor of Prague 6, the largest district of Prague, Czech Republic;
  • Manyan Ng, CEO of Epoch Times Europe;
  • Jan Jekielek, editor of the Epoch Times, New York, host of “American Thought Leaders”;
  • Sunny Cheung, student activist in Hong Kong;
  • Simon Cheng, former worker of the British Consulate in Hong Kong, prodemocratic activist in Hong Kong;
  • Julian Chan, expert on the UE, Umbrella Union;
  • Dr. Anders Corr, US military intelligence analyst, publisher of the Journal of Political Risk;
  • Avi Yemini, Australian journalist of Jewish descent;
  • Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez, president of Studium Foundation;
  • Pastor Paweł Chojecki, editor-in-chief of Against the Tide TV.

Also, we have received messages to the participants of the Conference from Eric Hovind of Creation Today and Bob Kraft, American pastor involved in the fight for freedom of Hong Kong.

The second part of the Conference was devoted to improving the operation of the Against the Tide Chapters. It was led by Art Thompson, CEO of the John Birch Society – world’s largest anticommunist organization. This was his fourth appearance at the Against the Tide Conference. A novelty was a live international debate with contributions from representatives of the United States, Hong Kong, and Poland.

Due to the Chinese virus pandemic, for the first time in history, we met via the Internet only. Over 400 people participated in the Conference.

In response to the recent attack on President Donald Trump for his picture with the Bible in front of a church – an attack supported by some Christian circles – Pastor Chojecki launched a campaign on social media #ChristiansForUSA.

Several hundred people from various countries, such as Poland, the United States, and Germany, have already joined it. Among them was Dr. Enver Tohti, Chinese transplant surgeon and hero of the film “Hard to Believe.” We made a special clip for President Donald Trump’s birthday that has been forwarded directly to the office of the US President.

We are encouraging you to join the #ChristiansForUSA campaign and send your photo with the Bible to [email protected]

As the first Polish TV we conducted an interview with Jimmy Lai, Chinese multimillionaire who had escaped to Hong Kong and today, is one of the leading Hong Kong media tycoons and a very dedicated activist for the freedom of that country.

In the conversation with Against the Tide TV he said:

“What have we got if we don’t have the protection of the rule of law and freedom? We are not animals. We have values, we have spirits. We need freedom to live.”

The situation of the Catholic Church in Poland is undergoing a dramatic change. In the aftermath of uncovering pedophilia scandals and breaking the conspiracy of silence on the part of the government and the media, the pope has banished one of the bishops suspected of covering up pedophilia and he announced further actions. In order to reach the pope, the Poles posted a paid advertisement in the Roman newspaper “La Repubblica.” Our TV often brings up this topic and invites guests involved in the fight against the practice of concealing pedophilia in the church.

We are finishing the preparations for our new television studio, which – including its control room – will use about 1400 sq. ft. of space. In a few weeks, we are planning its inauguration. Pray for safe completion of all the work and that the new studio will significantly improve the quality of our TV.

We are very grateful to God and to our viewers. Already for a year and a half over 1000 viewers have supported our project each month. Praise God!

Pastor Paweł Chojecki: How China used our freedoms against us.

“Communists observe free societies very carefully. They’re not stupid. They’re very intelligent, but they’re morally corrupt. They serve evil. (…) They looked at these freedoms, they looked at these great things and thought about how to use them to defeat us. (…) These are attacks whose purpose is to make us destroy ourselves, make us take away our assets, like our freedom and our cultural heritage.”

In his opening speech of the 6th annual Clubs Conference of the Against the Tide TV Clubs, Paweł Chojecki, Editor in Chief and Pastor of The Church of New Covenant, explained how the communists have used our freedoms against us.

Full transcript of the speech below (link to the video at the end of the text)

I would love to be standing on stage in front of you and be able to see several hundred familiar faces. It’s a little strange, to be in the studio.

I think it will be more of a lecture rather than what it usually is when we could be in contact with each other, where we could experience the same emotions,  the same things.

Today, I will try to present an overview of what is happening, and the respective speakers will fill out the chapters of this geopolitical book that is being written today.

I based my introductory lecture on five points.

The first one is a fun fact. Those of you who have read or seen the movie about Viktor Suvorov “Aquarium” remember his astonishment when in the ’70s, being a GRU [Main Intelligence Directorate] agent, he turned up in the west.

What was he so astonished by? What surprised him?

The second point: the change of society and the fade away from economic differences.

The third point: a clearly defined attack.

The fourth point: our freedoms at gunpoint.

And the fifth point: defense.

As I emphasized before, this is only an outline. You would have to write a book for each of these points.

We could discuss this for a long time. I hope that we’ll be expanding these topics in our daily programs, every weekday at 1 pm.

Our freedoms used against us

Viktor Suvorov, an agent trained by the GRU to destroy our freedoms in the west, at one point in his career, fled westward.

But when in the mid-1970s he came to Europe, to Switzerland, to Austria, he couldn’t believe his eyes.

He was trained to know what was going on in the west, but that world of liberty, that world of freedom that he saw…

He thought, “Wow, it’s so easy to infiltrate them! It’s so easy for me to operate here! No one controls me! I have the right to do anything! “

Let me remind you that he came from the Soviet Union. He never experienced freedom in his life. He thought “We’ll conquer this world very easily because it’s defenseless”.

But after a few years of living in the west, he ended up staying there. Why?

The world of poverty of the Soviet system contrasted with a wealthy, abundant world. I experienced it for myself in 1986 – as did those from the Eastern Bloc –  when, I was given the right, for the first time, to leave the Iron Curtain. But that’s not all.

We were in a world of dullness, submerged in hopelessness.

And over there, we saw a colorful world, a world of hope, a world of opportunities.

No wonder that even GRU agents fled to this world of freedom.

A changed society

But almost 50 years have passed since then and we have cultured a Chinese dragon with huge economic potential. Today, if someone goes to a large Chinese city, not to the countryside, but a large Chinese city, or if the residents of large Chinese cities go westward, they can’t see that difference anymore.

NYC, New York, USA
Shanghai, China

And on top of that, our approach to freedom has changed.

Indeed, freedom never enjoyed great recognition.

That is to say that only a small part of Western Christian societies was ready to put their neck on the line for freedom.

We know this from a Polish perspective, but I will give you American data.

When American colonists stood up to fight against the British Empire, only 3% of them engaged in the fight and little over 20% supported them.

Do you think this percentage increased or decreased since then? I think it decreased.

Due to the destruction, the systemic destruction of the spiritual life of the Christian civilization, of Western civilization, the percentage of freedom-loving people has decreased.

To sum up, here’s the picture of the situation: we have rich, tempting Chinese communists who want to take away our freedom in exchange for pennies. It’s nothing but an illusion of wealth.

And against that, we have the West that is growing poorer, with people who are detached from their roots, detached from spiritual life, who cease to value freedom.

If nothing happens, what do you think will be the result?  I do not doubt as to the outcome.

Spying on our freedoms, a clearly defined attack

Now, I’ll show you a passage from the Bible. Maybe you think that I’ll be talking about some spiritual matters. No.

I’ll talk about spies. I’ll talk about the spies who came to spy out our liberty.

Apostle Paul describes it in Galatians 2: 4.

“But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, to bring us into bondage.”

Already back then, there were spy rings, operational activities, false brothers, subversion, that is. And the goal: bring into bondage, bring us into bondage.

It’s worth remembering that communists observe free societies very carefully.

They’re not stupid. They’re very intelligent, but they’re morally corrupt. They serve evil.

That’s why they advertently watched our civilization.

They looked at these freedoms, they looked at these great things and thought about how to use them to defeat us.

Hence, the attacks we are now facing are very precisely planned attacks.

These are attacks whose purpose is to make us destroy ourselves, make us take away our assets, like our freedom and our cultural heritage.

What freedoms were targeted during the first attack, that is the CCP virus attack?

– The freedom to travel

– The freedom of assembly

– The autonomy of churches. The separation of church and state, because that’s what the free American republic has achieved.

– The freedom from government control

– The freedom of speech

Several more points could be added. How did the CCP virus attack those freedoms?

Let’s first take a look at an excerpt of President Trump’s speech. Our television is the only one in Poland that gave the full [translated] version of the US President’s speech.

Nearly 400,000 Poles watched what the government-owned public television, which allegedly supports the West, hid.

But Go Against the Tide TV delivered it to you very quickly. You had it ready the next day, and soon, probably half of a million Poles will have watched this material.

Curiously enough, one of the leftist politicians, or left-leaning politicians, the Marshal of the Senate Tomasz Grodzki, spoke about this Chinese attack.

He got so caught up during one live program, that he said to the host: “Do you know what the outbreak of the epidemic in Italy was all about? There’s a little Wuhan around Milan. The Chinese population that lives there is from Wuhan. They went to China for the Chinese New Year on January 25 and returned, en masse, carrying the coronavirus.”

These are the words of one of the leading Polish opposition politicians, spoken on March 10, three months ago already.

The whole world knows it’s being assaulted. But it pretended that there was no attack.

Apart from the United States, we were the ones to organize a petition.

It was a huge success. Over 100,000 signatures in three weeks, to hold China’s government accountable for this aggression with a biological weapon.

The western societies that have been attacked faced a dramatic choice: Either limit those freedoms which I’ve mentioned earlier or let millions of people die, face a paralysis of the health service, and in some cases, the eventual paralysis of entire countries.

The proper reaction to this biological attack – led by the communists – was strong, but very short. It was mostly voluntary restrictions of our freedoms to nip the epidemic in the bud.

However, only a few Western countries did so.

Chinese agents influenced that matter.  They took advantage of the freedom of speech operating in the West to confuse a huge percentage of people about COVID-19 as well as about the plans of Chinese communists.

The result? We see it with our own eyes. The pandemic has gone into a long-term, sinuate phase, and governments are using it to permanently limit civil liberties and to increase control over citizens, on the model of China, based on the achievements of Chinese communists.

Other freedoms at gunpoint

On top of that, came a second attack: America has been set ablaze and unfortunately, we’re still watching it take place.

What freedoms have particularly been attacked here?

– The freedom of peaceful assembly

– The freedom of political activity

– The equality of all before the law, regardless of race, color, education, gender, etc. Equality of all before the law.

– The right to historical heritage was also attacked. The monument of Columbus which was tossed in the lake or the statue [of Jefferson Davis], the president of the Confederate States of America that was torn down in Richmond are examples of us being stripped of our historical heritage.

– The government’s and police’s right to protect citizen lives and properties is also under attack.

In Minneapolis, where the riots began, there’s a plan, or even an intention, to abolish the police.

Unlike the attack with the CCP virus, this one required not only propaganda, mainly by the means of social media, but it also required the involvement of physical agents.

It required a very large number of trained agents on our territory.

President Trump also referred to that matter saying: “The United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization.”

At last, it’s been said.  But we need to look at the bigger picture here, at the enemy forces that we’re dealing with.

We, of course, have terrorist militants, mainly leftists.

Afterward, we have a revolted youth, detached from history and culture, indoctrinated in Marxist high schools or ideologized universities.

There’s also an enormous and increasingly demanding social electorate living on welfare alone, which has developed, as psychologists call it, learned helplessness.

They can only live by directing new demands towards the state or municipal government, and they’re unable to take care of their own lives.

And finally, the foulest group is the one made up of idiots. By that, I’m not referring to intellectual disabilities. I understand it as the ancient Greeks understood it: the absolute confusion in the polis,  that is, politics and social values.

It’s either an idiotic group or a paid-off group of journalists, politicians, clergymen – yes, priests, pastors, rabbis too – and above all academic authorities and culture representatives, which in most part, are leftists.

What are the fallouts of this torching of America?

The undermined trust in the Republican state. Chaos. It’s already happening.

Now, citizens are starting to create their militias. They’re starting to organize themselves to defend their homes.

The Republican state, the pride of the West, is ceasing to function.

Furthermore, there’s an increase of internal tensions and antagonisms, leading to the deployment of the army in the streets.

Public trust has always been the strength of Western countries because it was by knowing how to work in groups that we realized great achievements in the past.

Teamwork – it’s all being shattered before our eyes.

Dual state power.  Today, American Democrats, trying to endear themselves to rioters or this leftist trend, want to take down monuments of American heroes, even from the center of the country.

They’re doing the same thing as the crowd who beheads or throws Columbus’ statues in the lake.

So we have dual power. One part of the political scene renounces its culture and stands against America.

America is at the forefront of the free world. The fall of America means the fall of our world.

The next fallout concerns the Western societies’ functioning, especially those of large urban agglomerations, becoming more and more like that of communists.

Curfews were in effect in America’s capital. Chinese communists achieved this.

To sum up, communists insidiously used the achievements of Christian civilization, of a republic having personal freedoms, civil liberties, to attack us from the outside – with the CCP virus – and from the inside – with rioters setting fire to America.

But it’s not just America: in Australia, in Poland also. The Tadeusz Kosciuszko monument in Warsaw was vandalized.

This is happening right before our eyes.

Without a firm response, a swift end of the Western Christian civilization will ensue.

Best defense is… offense

So what can we do? What’s our defense? President Trump already began it on the political level, namely:

A quick political and economic isolation of the Evil Empire until the collapse of the Chinese Communist Party.

That’s the first step on a political level.

Second: Restoring strict border control. God gave us borders, but leftists say that borders are unnecessary. So, who’s right? Now, we see clearly.

This control should especially apply to citizens, or rather, to those from totalitarian states, suspected of supporting the Evil Empire.

This also includes stopping the artificially forced migration of people.

Next up should be the shutdown of the state educational system, because that’s what creates the space for leftist militants who, being at the head of a brainwashed crowd of revolted young people, can overthrow our civilization, practically with impunity.

The next point is quite difficult. I named it: how is an internal enemy different from an external enemy?

When we’re at war and the enemy is on the outside, we either don’t let him in, or we chase him away, or we shoot at him. We do all sorts of things.

But if that same person – and here I remind you of what Suvorov said  – crosses the border, he or she is endowed with all the rights that the citizens of the republic possess.

Something has to be done with it. I don’t have a good idea.

This task belongs to politicians: they must develop a system to ensure that our freedoms don’t serve Antifa or communist agents, but rather serve citizens who love God, freedom, and want to serve their country.

Nowadays, it’s not easy to find an answer to this question.

Finally, all of these points listed above are nothing but a short-lasting hold against the barbarian intrusion, because walls won’t last for long. Everyone will eventually be forced through.

It’s only the wall made of human hearts, that once it rises, it will be unstoppable. That’s why we must return to the spiritual foundations of our civilization.

I once asked, “why is the US Constitution so thin?” Only a few sheets of paper. Do you know why? Because the Bible that stands behind it is thick.

The Founding Fathers of the United States said, that the Constitution is for moral people who derive virtues for their life from the Bible.

If you tear away the people of America from the Christian biblical foundations, the Constitution alone will be of no help.

Therefore, I will once again read a fragment of the Bible, the same one I read earlier.

Apostle Paul, Epistle to the Galatians, second chapter. But after verse 4, which I have already read and will read again in a moment, there’s verse five.

“But it was because of the false brethren secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, to bring us into bondage.  But we did not yield in subjection to them for even an hour so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.”

This has always been the duty of Christians: to stand on guard for truth, to stand on guard for freedom. You and I cannot be missing from this rampart.

So help us, God.

WILL CHINA’S TOTALITARIAN REGIME ROB US OF OUR FREEDOM?

“FREEDOM VS. COMMUNISM” DEBATE / 6TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE AGAINST THE TIDE TV CLUBS

Imagine being identified by a facial recognition system, being detained, subjected to interrogation and charged with inciting unrest, charges for which you’re being held in custody. But why? Well, you’ve criticized the party, the state. You’ve posted your opinions online. This is no fiction. This is communism in practice. It’s the story of Simon Cheng, former employee of the UK Consulate in Hong Kong and one of the participants in our discussion.

Today, the clash between freedom and communism in Hong Kong is clear as day. Why is the fight for freedom of young Hongkongers, freedom that is threatened today by Chinese totalitarianism, so important for the world? What help do they need most? Why did Western countries turn out to be unprepared to face the attack by the CCP virus while Taiwan was able to deal with it? Will Donald Trump win the upcoming election?

Guests of the 6th annual conference of the Against the Tide TV clubs talked about these matters during the “Freedom vs Communism” debate.  Brigadier General Robert Spalding – Donald Trump’s former advisor and senior fellow at Hudson Institute, Solomon Yue – Vice Chairman and CEO of Republicans Overseas, Julian Chan from Hong Kong – researcher for EU Affairs at the Umbrella Union, Sunny Cheung – student activist in Hong Kong, Simon Cheng – Former employee of the UK’s Hong Kong Consulate and activist for democracy in Hong Kong, as well as pastor Paweł Chojecki – Editor-in-Chief of Against the Tide TV, were all part of the discussion. Editor Eunika Chojecka moderated the debate.

Why did the West fail to handle the coronavirus attack?

“We’ve allowed ourselves to be deceived by Chinese communists. We believed the World Health Organization,” replied the panelists.

The situation in Hong Kong, and especially in Taiwan, was different. The Taiwanese sent their own experts to Wuhan, who properly assessed the situation and arranged protection measures for the people of Taiwan against the epidemic. Hong Kong, which over a decade ago experienced an epidemic from China, followed Taiwan’s advice. That’s why they succeeded in controlling the infections and minimizing the consequences.

Pastor Paweł Chojecki pointed to the spiritual source of Western ignorance and misplaced trust in the CCP by quoting the Bible: „Pride goes before destruction”.

He listed three causes for the weakness against the CCP virus attack: “I think that the whole Western civilization believed that we have – as Fukuyama said – the end of history, that there will be no more wars, that liberal democracy will only keep on getting better.  That’s why we were completely unprepared. (…) The second reason is communist agents and their propaganda on social media. They said that there was no pandemic, that there was no virus, that it wasn’t dangerous. The third reason is our belief that Chinese communism has changed, that China is a normal capitalist state. That’s a huge lie. The PRC is a dangerous communist Evil Empire that wants to take over the world.

What should the Free World do in order to help Hong Kong face the ongoing invasion by communist China?

Sunny Cheung: „In Hong Kong nowadays, we are facing unprecedented threats from the CCP. The CCP is trying to undermine the autonomy of Hong Kong. (…) We urge the Free World to help Hong Kong, not just because Hongkongers need help. It’s also because if Hong Kong falls, Taiwan will be the next country to fall and then very soon, all of Asia and even the whole Indo-Pacific region will be in danger, while the Chinese tyrant will grow in strength.”

Julian Chan: „The international front is especially important here. (…) After the coronavirus, and also given what’s happening in Hong Kong, it’s very important to distance ourselves away from what had initially seemed to be very palatable economic choices, whereas in the long run, it’s going to be hugely eroding in terms of autonomy, politics and economy.”

Solomon Yue: „If we are going to defend Hong Kong people’s freedom and autonomy, we have to play hardball politics. One of the issues I’m supporting and our administration is thinking of and doing, is to cut Hong Kong banks access to the US dollar. That will cause a ripple effect. (…) If they want to go after Hong Kong people’s freedom, we’ll go after their market.”

Gen. Robert Spalding: “It’s not only access to dollars, it’s trading rules. It’s really all of the rules that designate Hong Kong as a special territory and really gives it advantages over the mainland in terms of doing business with the United States, and I think all of those privileges should be taken away, because it will eventually cause great damage to the Chinese Communist Party’s economy. I think that’s the only way to get them to respond. (…) We also need to have steps, so that we provide an opportunity for those that are living in Hong Kong that want to immigrate to [be able to] do so. (…) The social media influence and other influences by the Chinese Communist Party, with the coronavirus and with the recent riots and looting, have made the administration and Americans overall, wake up to the fact that the Communist Party is really something that has to be dealt with and Hong Kong is one of the fastest ways to begin to do that.”

Is the EU properly responding to the protests in Hong Kong?

Pastor Paweł Chojecki: „I think that the European Union is dominated by Germany, which pursues its own interests. First of all, they want to get rid of US presence in Europe and become a world power. Germany, both secretly and openly, began dealing with Russia and now, with China. This takes me back to the Second World War, when Hitler made a pact with Stalin and jointly attacked Poland.  Prior to this event, Western governments sought to appease Hitler. For example, they handed him Czechoslovakia. That was a very big mistake. Mr. Yue clearly stated that Xi Jinping is “Xitler”, which I believe is a very accurate appellation. We should take a tough stance and I’m of the opinion that the only ones capable of doing so are the United Stated, since the European Union will be very open to dialogue with the Chinese communists.

Julian Chan: „I agree with Pastor Chojecki. I think [the Union’s response] is very weak, because the EU is very heavily guided by business interests, notably from France and Germany. Therefore, I think that it’s high time for the EU to use the strongest tool it has on hand, that is, to actually end or even stop the current trade deal negotiations [with the CCP] (…) and they should consider sanctions. The EU should also consider making it easier for Hong Kong people to come to Europe.”

Will Hong Kong be free someday?

Gen. Robert Spalding: „I think it’s very important that democracies come together and work collectively to isolate the Chinese Communist Party regime (…) and prevent the transfer of talent and innovation and technology and capital. If we do this, over time, the true nature of the regime will result in it collapsing upon itself. Totalitarianism can’t survive without a lifeline to the Free World and we’ve allowed it far too much opportunity to gain the things that it needs to grow and strengthen itself and I think it’s time to stop.”

How is it that Hongkongers, especially young people, are so anti-communist and aware? Where do they draw their strength and reason from?

Sunny Cheung: „In Hong Kong, we are struggling with a communist regime. The Communist Party crept in and in an obvious way, is trying to undermine the liberal system established by the Free World after the Second World War. After Xi Jinping came to power in 2012, China has become another totalitarian regime. Since Xi Jinping centralized his power, China is becoming more and more assertive and ruthless. (…)  We’re ready to fight against this authoritarian regime. What we ask for is the help from the international community.”

Julian Chan: „What’s most interesting to note is that the generation of democracy fighters in Hong Kong are not necessarily the ones who have seen for example, what happened in the Cultural Revolution or even the Tiananmen massacre of 1989. These are teenagers that are willing to sacrifice their freedom to fight against the Chinese Communist Party. The reason for this is quite clear among these young people –  the CCP breaks its promises.”

Solomon Yue: „I would add one more thing that I call “the Hong Kong spirit”. Those kids are amazing. They will never give up! As our Founding Father Patrick Henry said: ‘Give me liberty or give me death!’”

Simon Cheng told us about the methods used by Chinese communists:

„I was stopped at the border. I was recognized by the facial recognition system. Later, they turned me back to Shenzhen. The usual tactics they would use would, for example, be to put you in a cage and put you on a tiger chair and ask you what crimes you’ve committed. They won’t give you their identity. They won’t show you their badges. Afterwards, they ask a series of political questions like ‘What do you think about Hong Kong?’, ‘What do you think about China?’. And also, they ask you why you want to achieve democracy and why you oppose the Communist Party and the authorities. This group of people, the secret police, is part of the state security apparatus. It’s inconvenient for them to make political charges, so they come up with [criminal] charges.”

Can the Free World win Russia over in the fight against communist China? What are Russia’s and Putin’s true colors?

Pastor Paweł Chojecki: „Russia is an imperialist state and still wants to play a leading role in the world. It won’t be an ally of Western governments for a long time, because that would be contrary to their goals. Another matter relates to the features of the Russian civilization. Russia was almost always possessive. Unfortunately, even today, the majority of Russia’s society supports Putin, who is a continuator of tsars and Bolshevik tyrants. The Russian society supported him when he attacked Ukraine. (…) The Russian Orthodox Church is placed under Putin’s power and is subjected to the communist party, which he explicitly supports. As a result, freedom-loving people, democrats, republicans represent a minority in Russia and are persecuted there.”

General Robert Spalding and Solomon Yue stated that Donald Trump’s move to invite Russia to the G7 is part of a deliberate effort intended to weaken the ties between authoritarian states. They believe it’s part of a broader strategy to weaken the cooperation between regimes according to the “divide and conquer” strategy.

Questions from the audience

What reaction from the Free World is Hong Kong expecting?

Sunny Cheung: „We urge the international community to stand with Hong Kong with concrete actions. (…) The Free World countries should immediately cease any economic ties with Hong Kong and also with China. (…) Nobody should think that it’s impossible. I don’t think appeasement policy can really work and pacify the CCP.”

Julian Chan stated that the issue of the national security law imposed by Beijing could be raised in the Council of the European Union. Poland’s voice would be very important. At the last meeting, out of the 27 member states, only Sweden proposed to impose sanctions.

„It’s extremely crucial to distance ourselves from further cooperation with China. (…) I hope that the Polish government really rethinks its strategy about China’s presence and their engagement through the Belt and Road initiative and also, that the Polish Parliament will put more pressure on the government to take these concrete actions to support Hong Kong against Beijing’s influence.”

When asked about the role of Christians in the Hong Kong protests, Simon Cheng replied: „Christians are actively engaging in protests. Over the past years, many churches have opened up to protesters who sought refuge there. (…) About half a year ago, you could hear Christians signing religious songs to comfort protesters. It was very encouraging.”

Solomon Yue expressed an important thought: “For any kind of social change, there needs to be a bottom-up [initiative]. You have to mobilize the people. (…) When you move the people, and you shift their opinion, politicians will follow, because they want to be re-elected. (…) Based on that, the first thing to do is to move the public opinion. After that, this will mobilize the elected leaders. I think that should apply to many democratic countries.”

Gen. Robert Spalding noted: „Those countries that align themselves with the United States will find that the US is going to be more willing to have military ties, economic ties with those countries. And those countries that want to align themselves with the Chinese Communist Party will be cut off. (…) You have to make a choice. You cannot have economic relations with China and a security relationship with the United States. If you value that security relationship, then you must cut those ties with China. And if you’re not willing to do that, you will not be able to be a partner of the United States.”

When asked about this year’s US Presidential election, both Solomon Yue and General Robert Spalding replied that they’re expecting Trump to win, perhaps with an even better outcome than in 2016.

Simon Cheng expressed his hope that the United States would take the lead in defending democracy and democratic systems around the world and also, that the US would engage more in international activities, leaving no room for authoritarian states.

Sunny Cheung thanked President Trump. He expressed his gratitude that although there are many lobbying groups in Washington that are closely linked to China, who argue that adopting the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act would harm the US-China relation, President Trump still chose to sign the bill.

At the end of the discussion, Pastor Paweł Chojecki appealed to President Trump to continue emphasizing the spiritual dimension of the conflict surrounding communism. “President Trump is famous for openly speaking about God and the Bible. I think that was lacking in American politics under liberal presidents. (…)

I would also like to appeal to all Christians to stand with President Trump. I was very sorry when President Trump stood in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church on Lafayette square in Washington holding a Bible and was criticized by many Christians for doing so, even though he pointed to the foundation of our civilization. That’s why I’ve launched the #ChristiansForUSA campaign on social media consisting in taking a similar photo of yourself with the Bible.”

Ondřej Kolář: Did Czechoslovakia overthrow Communism in 1989? Russian and Chinese influence in Czech Republic

“We in Czech Republic never completely got rid of communist, or better yet totalitarian thinking. It is still in our minds, we are still setup to think differently than the people in the West. This is maybe because there was no decommunization process. The communist party was never outlawed, its members were never sanctioned for their crimes, which they have committed during the communist era. And many of them remained in their offices although communists were expelled from the highest ranks.” – Ondřej Kolář, Mayor of Prague 6

During the 6th annual Against the Tide TV Clubs Conference, which took place between the 11-14th of June, entitled “Freedom vs. Communism”, we were joined by Ondřej Kolář, mayor of Pargue’s 6 (biggest) district. Mr. Kolář gave a lecture about “Whether or not Czechoslovakia ever got rid of communism in 1989 and the influences of Russia and China in Czech republic today. “I think it is important to continue the discussion about totalitarian regimes and their practices, which they use to threaten democracy” – said Ondřej Kolář during his lecture at the conference.

“After the fall of communism, people were full of optimism and many reforms were imposed. We have successfully passed from centralized government to an open market economy, free elections and competitions between political parties have emerged. Democratic institutions were formed, for example the Constitutional Court, but only small reforms were made in the educational system, which is actually still pretty much the same as it was in 1989. People learn different things but the system remains the same.

There is actually a very strong unwillingness among the teachers to speak about the communist era in schools. Children and young people have very small awareness about what was happening here after 1945, or more precise after 1948 when the communists actually came to power.

Modern history isn’t taught, at all. If you go to a history class in the Czech republic you will usually end the curriculum with the French Revolution. The 20th century is not being taught too much, only very briefly. People are not being taught how to look up information and how to evaluate information. And of course it is very easy to all who are in power, to get stronger and stronger, to use all possible disinformation campaigns and fake news to spread their propaganda among the people.”

“To look more deeply into the state of minds and affairs in Czech Republic I would like to turn to a quote of Václav Havel, our first democratic anti-communist president, elected first in 1989. He said that: “we fell morally ill, because we became used to saying something different than what we thought. We learned to not believe anything, to ignore each other, to care only about ourselves. Concepts such as love, friendship, compassion, humility or forgiveness, lost their depths and dimensions and for many of us they only represented psychological peculiarities. I’m talking about all of us. We’ve all became used to the totalitarian system and accepted it as an unchangeable fact. Thus we help to perpetuate it and in other words we are all naturally, to a different extent, responsible for the operation of the totalitarian regime. None of us is just it’s victim we are all also it’s co-creators.”

“The antidemocratic tendencies in Central and Eastern Europe are on the rise. They are very strongly controlled and nurtured by Russia, which seeks to control the Central and Eastern Europe region, again. Or at least to keep it as a sphere of influence.”

“Free media I think are vitally important for democracy and freedom. Freedom of speech is absolutely important but is also very easily abused. I wouldn’t like to been viewed as a friend of censorship but my personal opinion is a state that isn’t capable of controlling anti-state activities and excuses them with phrases of freedom of speech is pretty much incompetent. In Czech Republic people mistake their right for freedom of speech for a chance to lie and undermine the very principles of democracy and foundations of the state.”

On Chinese and Russian influence:

Political elites such as the president are corrupted by the Chinese and Russian regimes. That is a fact. They cooperate with what I call sleeping agents here in the Czech Republic. People who are directly financed with either Russia or the Kremlin. Who spread the Chinese and Russian propaganda.”

“China is a very big issue in the Czech Republic. China openly blackmails Czech officials. Russia threatens Czech citizens and politicians by criminalizing their actions.”

As we’ve wrote earlier in our article following the interview with Tomas Zdechovski MEP,  EPP party On Jan 20th 2020, Czech’s Senate President Jaroslav Kubera who was set to visit Taiwan, has felt ill and passed away following a visit to the Chinese Embassy and threatening letters from them, also encouraged by a pro Chinese Czech President Milos Zeman’s office.

In the end Mr. Kolář thanked Poland’s Minister of foreign affairs Jacek Czaputowicz for his support.

Under President Obama, there was a fear that the United States would lose its Christian roots and identity. Barack Obama officially announced that America has ceased to be a Christian state! In 2015, the US Supreme Court legalized the so-called same-sex marriage. Predictions appeared that the time of persecution of Christians faithful to Jesus would begin in America.

“I think there’s a very real threat that Christians will face discrimination, opposition, loss of jobs, overt discrimination and loss of religious liberty” – Albert Mohler, President of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

But then, Donald Trump became the president of the USA!

President Trump not only gave Christians hope but, while in office, he stopped anti-godly trends and began restoring Christian heritage in America. That is why he is so hated by the forces of the Evil Empire, both inside and outside the US.

When Free World, especially the United States of America, is being attacked by the CCP virus and the Antifa brawls on an unprecedented scale, President Trump has referred to the fundamental values of America: the church and the Bible. If Hong Kong loses with communist China, Poland will also face it!

The Chinese Communist Party is trying to impose a new national security law on Hong Kong, which in practice means the abolition of Hong Kong’s autonomy. “What is happening today in Hong Kong should be the most important topic in the Polish media. If Hong Kong loses its fight for freedom with Chinese communists, the same may also happen to Poland”, appeals editor Hanna Shen, Taiwan-based correspondent of Against The Tide (Idź Pod Prąd) TV.

During the annual session of the communist Chinese parliament there was a discussion and attempt to pass the new law on national security. The new law prohibits separatism, terrorism, subversive activity against central authorities, foreign interference, and “any other act seriously damaging national security.” In practice, this means lifting Hong Kong’s autonomy.

Thousands of Hongkongers took to the streets last weekend to protest against the new regulations of the Chinese Communist Party. During the demonstration, a total of 193 people were detained on charges of illegal gathering, riots, and possession of dangerous tools. 30 people among those detained are minors. The youngest is 12 years old. During the protests, there were clashes with police who used tear gas and water cannons against Hongkongers.

Hongkongers are ready to fight communist China. “Hongkongers will NEVER SURRENDER. We will fight until we all die. The idea is bulletproof. Give us freedom or give us death. We definitely NEED your help to keep our home safe and beautiful. #StandwithHonKong #HongKong #SOS”, one of the Hong Kong protesters wrote on his Twitter.

The introduction of the new law – and bypassing local authority – violates the “one country, two systems” principle, which says that Hong Kong is to have autonomy in domestic policy for 50 years since the merger with China in 1997.

The Hong Kong Bar Association has stated that the Chinese Parliament has no authority to enact national security laws in Hong Kong by bypassing the Legislative Council. According to the Association, the Basic Law of Hong Kong states that China cannot interfere in Hong Kong’s legislative processes.

Taiwan has assured Hong Kong about its support, but at the same time, Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen has said that Chinese activities in Hong Kong may force Taiwan to revoke the special status of the city. “We hope the situation in Hong Kong does not get to this stage and will pay close attention to developments, and take necessary corresponding measures in a timely way,” said Tsai Ing-wen.

Politicians from around the world are also showing their support to Hong Kong protesters and criticizing the conduct of communist China. The United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia issued a joint statement on Friday expressing “deep concern” in Beijing’s efforts to limit Hong Kong’s autonomy. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also issued a similar statement on Friday.

In the program Against The Tide LIVE Hanna Shen, a TV’s Taiwan-based correspondent, spoke about the will of Hong Kong to fight for freedom:

“Love of freedom is very strong in Hong Kong. Jamie Lee, a billionaire who was born in China, fled to Hong Kong as a child and has British citizenship, was asked why he would never leave Hong Kong, although he had a lot of money and could lead a peaceful life in the UK. The billionaire replied that money is useless when there is no freedom? Chinese communists say Hongkongers only have a body and no soul. Hongkongers are proving that they are fighting for the survival of Hong Kong’s soul!”

Hanna Shen appealed to the Polish media to speak out about Hongkongers’ fight for freedom. She indicated that, unfortunately, the communist narrative is being promoted, including in statements made by a political scientist and sinologist, professor at the University of Warsaw:

“Prof. Bogdan Góralczyk praises Xi Jinping’s unprecedented anti-corruption campaign and the fact that the leader makes China’s citizens feel good. Do Uyghurs feel “good”, working in a concentration camp, does a woman subjected to [forced] abortion or sterilization feel good? Does a member of Falun Gong who is cut live for sale, feel good?! This is what the Polish authority in the field of sinology says in public media! Permission to proclaim such outrageous theses shows that Poland is still a COMMUNIST country.

The current situation in Hong Kong should be the most important topic in the Polish media. They should speak about what is happening in the first front of the struggle against communism because it can also come to us. And it can come to us in such pure form as it is in China if the Hongkongers lose [their fight for freedom]. We must be well informed because an informed Pole is a conscious Pole who will make [conscious] choices and cannot be manipulated! ”

“If it were possible to co-exist with the communist Chinese and do business with them, Hong Kong would have been able to do it. And with communism, you can either have an iron curtain or a conflict. Communists seek to take over the Free World and Hong Kong is an example of this!” – summed up pastor Paweł Chojecki, editor-in-chief of the Against The Tide TV.
